Marine Service GmbH has been awarded “Partner of the Year” by MEYER Group for outstanding performance, competence and commitment for the year 2018.

Christian Krämer, Chairman of Marine Service GmbH, received the award during the annual “Partner of the Year” gala in Papenburg, Germany, on 9 May 2019.

Every year Meyer Werft invites about 200 out of its about 6,500 total suppliers to the award gala and rewards its very best suppliers with the Partner of the Year award on the basis of a rating system based on the suppliers’ performance in terms of price, reliability and quality per ship and most importantly on the suppliers’ overall annual performance.

“We feel very honored to receive this award”, Krämer declares. “And I am extremely proud of the outstanding result my team has achieved in supporting MEYER Group in the field of LNG. We are looking forward to continuing this excellent relationship with MEYER Group.”

In December 2018, Marine Service GmbH successfully delivered the LNG fuel gas system for the “AIDAnova” which was built at Meyer Werft in Papenburg for the cruise operator AIDA Cruises of Carnival Corporation. The “AIDAnova” is the world’s first cruise vessel operating both at sea and in port on liquefied natural gas (LNG), the most environmentally friendly and lowest-emission fossil fuel available today.
